A lovely wrapper that seems  popular for Mums is my Pink Stargazer Lily………these will be token gifts on the table for guests at a birthday lunch in September.  Being delivered to a Londoner who is disappearing while Olympics are on, so getting these done early.

An 8 Year Olds Birthday Party
‘You’ve been recommended by a friend & I’m hoping you can create something for my daughter’s birthday party…….sorry for the short notice. She’s having a gymnastics party. Would it be possible for you to design something that she can have individually personalised to give to each of the girls?’

A couple of quick questions about the birthday girl & I provided 2 designs that she could choose from.  Her favourite was the ‘Team GB’ inspired wrapper that I’m sure went down a treat!

Individually Personalised Place settings for a Wedding

Received sign-off today for an August Wedding wrapper that has been designed to match the couple’s stationery.  Can’t wait to get these done; the samples look amazing. 

Last week was certainly another busy one & hi-lighted one of the favourite bits about my work……the variety of what I do.  Yes Weddings is certainly the biggest element of my business, but my personalised bespoke chocolate bars are all about delivering smiles, whatever the occasion.

Photographers 'Strike a Pose'!

Something a bit fun for you today!  So normally we would focus on in front of the camera.  How to look amazing on your wedding day; how to relax in front of the camera. But many things go on behind the scenes too and some of the best poses can be found not by the models, but by the photographers themselves, who get into all sorts of positions to capture 'The Shot'!  

Today we bring you behind the scenes at Worton Park.   Hopefully you will have already seen some of the beautiful images captured from our styled shoots:  Enchanting Nature, Nuts about Neon, Contemporary Romance the Under water 'Trash the Dress' shoot and coming soon Gothic Vintage...  But how did the photographers go about capturing such amazing images?... well lets see...

Which then turned into lying down on the job...

 

And we must not forget the high in the balancing on a step ladder shots...

Being a Professional photographer is much more than just a 'point and click' it's about finding amazing angles and capturing a 'moment in time'... which is why sometimes you might even have to get a little bit wet...

The Perfect Mis-Match ~ Today it's all about the Bridesmaids!

It can be difficult to choose your Bridesmaid dresses, especially if your chosen bridal party are different heights and shapes (which lets face it how often do all the Bridesmaids measure 6ft and a Size 8?).  Finding one style and colour of dress to suit all the ladies involved, whilst making each one feel like a million dollars can be a difficult task.  So why not do as we have on this shoot and mix it up a bit both with colours and styles...

I adore this colour scheme.  Aqua & Coral are the perfect match and if I was getting married again at the moment this would most definitely be on my shortlist!

Oooh Red Velvet! - White Satin Weddings - Day 5

I had a fun day today working with a couple who wanted some design advice. We visited their wedding venue in Bedfordshire and went through different table designs. The couples colour theme is scarlet red and white and they were able to bring all the bits so we could have a play around with different ideas.  After we had come up with our final decision we headed off to a cake tasting, which was great because as I don’t usually get involved in the wedding menu decisions.  And well, I hope to get the chance to go to another cake tasting as it was brilliant, I love cake.

Back at my home office its head down so I can get on with writing blogs, getting ideas for more inspiration boards, and most importantly writing my response to questions a magazine had sent me.

No week is the same at White Satin however, most of my time is spent in the office, on my computer going through emails or on the telephone doing research for the clients or improving the business. But I still love what I do and it’s very rewarding.

I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know White Satin a bit more.
