Anyone fancy a Swim? Behinds the Scenes at Worton Park...

On Thursday 24th May, I organised my first ever styled shoot.  Set on the outskirts of the pretty village of Cassington and in amongst the picturesque scenery of the Cotswolds, is Worton Park; an idyllic wedding venue that is so charming you feel at home before you are even at the bottom of the driveway.

If you are looking for an exclusive venue that you can make your own for the weekend then this is definitely one worth serious consideration. Being set on a Farm, the venue truly is a little sanctuary, with an Old Rectory, cottages, high walled gardens, woodland, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, horses, beautiful scenery and even a couple of cute curly tailed pigs.  It is a venue like no other I have visited.  Couples are able to book the entire venue for a weekend without any restrictions on the suppliers they use meaning you can make your wedding completely personal to you.  Whether it a be a BBQ around the pool or a silver service fine dining experience within the Marquee - or even both!  Plus there is an outdoor licence enabling you to get married within the tranquil gardens.

To capture the essense of this romantic venue instead of organising just one photo shoot I decided to co-ordinate six!

At 8.30am a large team of Ice the Cake wedding suppliers arrived at the venue for a day of fun and lots of hard work.  Many more members from across the country had posted their products for inclusion and together we set about capturing the venue & the day.

It was an exceptionally hot day which has meant that we have some beautiful shots but the hidden gem was their outdoor pool!  Not only were we able to organise an underwater shoot which was captured by Jay Mountford Photography, but after nearly 11 hours of running around in the heat it was far too tempting and Kathryn & I ended up jumping in the pool fully clothed; luckily we remembered to take our phones out of our pockets (something my daughter forgot as she followed us by jumping in too!).

Whilst it was a lot of hard work for everyone involved, I am absolutely delighted with the photos and cannot wait to share them with you.  However, whilst the individual styled shoot photos are still being edited the lovely Lewis from Pho2U! was on hand on the day to capture the behind the scenes action and here are a few of our favourites...

As for the individual styled shoots... all will be revealed soon :)

Have a lovely weekend & enjoy celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee wherever you are xx
